What materials are commonly used for cleaning sponges, and how do they differ?
Materials
Common materials include polyurethane (PU) foam, PVA sponge, wood pulp or cellulose sponge, natural sponge, EVA foam and silicone sponge. PU foam is low-cost with good resilience and moderate absorption; PVA sponge absorbs strongly and feels soft and fine; wood pulp and cellulose sponges are eco-friendly, biodegradable and highly absorbent; natural sponge is gentle on the skin but expensive; EVA is dense and wear-resistant; silicone sponge withstands heat and cleans easily.

What are the common materials and construction of a scouring pad?
Materials
A scouring pad usually consists of an abrasive layer, a substrate layer and a sponge or non-woven layer. Substrates are typically nylon, polyester or non-woven fabric; abrasives are typically aluminium oxide, silicon carbide, emery or quartz sand; and the binder is usually resin. Yes. Density, weight, thickness, resilience, abrasive grit, brand of raw material, level of certification and packaging all affect the price. Higher density, finer or more specialised abrasives and more complete certification generally mean a higher price.

Ask the supplier for a material test report, density and weight data and the abrasive grit, approve a sample, and spot-check bulk production. For custom orders, write the material, density, thickness, abrasive type and environmental requirements into the contract.

What does the sponge production process involve?
Production
The usual flow is batching, foaming, curing, cutting, forming, washing, drying, inspection and packaging. PVA sponge may involve dissolving, coagulation and rinsing steps, while wood pulp and cellulose sponges involve fibre forming, drying and cutting.
